Revision/Salvage of failed wrist replacements.

As with all joint replacements, wrist replacements can wear out or come loose. Putting this right is a challenge requiring demanding surgical techniques. There are few centres in the country with extensive experience of managing these problems, most a significant distance from East Kent. Some of our patients found the prospect of extensive journeys difficult to deal with and trusted us to carry out this surgery.

We are now building our experience with large bulk allograft and trabecular metal to salvage major bone loss.

The team take referrals from colleagues outside EKHUFT as well as though the NHS e-referral system.
