East Kent Hand Surgery
East Kent Hand Surgery Service is provided by four subspecialty fellowship trained orthopaedic hand surgeons. The surgeons work in a team with a group of dedicated hand therapists. The service is supported by a world class neurophysiology department.
The service is based in East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust but provides services in a number of other locations within East Kent.
The team assess patients with a wide variety of hand conditions. We treat all the common hand conditions including:
- Trigger finger
- Trigger thumb
- Dupuytrens contracture
- DeQuirvains tendonitis
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Compression of the ulna nerve [Cubital tunnel syndrome]
- Thumb base arthritis
- The surgeons also provide treatment for more complex conditions including:
- Finger joint arthritis
- Wrist arthritis
The team also cares for patients with a wide variety of acute hand and wrist injuries.
