The East Kent Hand surgery service is continually trying to improve. Patient feed back for the individual surgeon and the service are regularly measured.

  • I actually got the appointment via Andrew Smith who I saw privately there in 24 Jan. I was put on his NHS list but I'd been to my GP several times since 2021, last time was early December so maybe he wrote as well for appointment. Chris James performed surgery and a week later the wound almost healed. I had dressing changed at Deal Hospital today.

  • The surgeon who did the op is the best he's kind friendly and explained everything that was going to happen there was a lovely nurse who stood next to me and kept calm and chatted to me I think there should be a screen so u dont see because who wants to see that lol
  • I am very happy with the care I received at Estuary view, the surgeon was very reassuring and down to earth, I felt very comfortable to talk to him. He involved me in the process and explained what he was doing as we went.
  • The assistant/nurse was amazing, she kept me calm, talked to me the whole time and kept my mind off of what was happening. When I had a bit of a wobble at the end of the procedure, she got me water, helped me back into the waiting room and made sure that the reception people knew that I was feeling a bit unsteady so they could keep an eye too. I didn't feel rushed or that I had to leave before I felt better and the after care was explained and written down for me to take home, along with extra dressings if needed.
  • The staff and consultant, nurses were very kind and supportive to me, the procedure was explained to me all the way through.
